Permanent Makeup

Microblading & Nanoblading

What is Micro and Nanoblading?

They are also known as Permanent Makeup treatments, which involves implanting pigment into the thinnest part of the dermis (First layer of the skin) using a hand-held tool and an ultra fine needle. Each hair stroke is carefully etched into the skin, creating that incredibly natural appearance of real hair. The pigment colours used are chosen to match the clients natural desired brow colour and also skin tone is taken into account.

The treatment involves having one initial session followed by a second between 5/6 weeks later. Your Semi Makeup will not be completed until after your second session, this is where your colour and shape can all be adjusted. After this a colour boost session is recommended to keep your permanent makeup looking fresh, This is recommended every 12-18 months, this also depends on skin type and skincare routine.

Permanent makeup can dramatically correct of fully reconstruct little to no eyebrows, lost eyebrows or enhancing current shapes.

FAQ's

Why do people have Permanent Makeup treatments?

  • To gain a better shape, due to the lack of hair growth

  • Have sparse hair or no brows

  • Alopecia

  • Poor eyesight

  • Through choice to look/feel better

  • Allergies to traditional makeup

  • Hair loss through chemotherapy

  • To camouflage scars

  • Loss of confidence in appearance

The benefits are endless and every client is specific to how it benefits them. Permanent makeup is predominately sought after by women, however more and more men are seeking out the procedure due to its benefits.

What is the difference between Microblading and Nanoblading?

To put things simply, Microblading and Nanoblading both give fine natural and true to life hair strokes, However Nanoblading provides further precision because it uses an ultra fine blade made up of tiny needles.

How much is it?

Micro/Nanoblading is currently £250, This includes your top up appointment 6 weeks later also. And additional top ups needed would be charged at £75.

Are Permanent Makeup procedures painful?

Probably the most asked question regarding permanent makeup treatments. And honestly every client's pain threshold is different, while one may feel nothing another may find it a little uncomfortable. the level of discomfort cannot be guaranteed as it differs from client to client. All in all it is more uncomfortable than painful, Generally people say on a scale of 1-10 it’s around a 2/3.

I personally haven't had any clients that cant bear it and have said its just uncomfortable.

Do you numb the brows before the treatment?

We do not numb the area at all. Pre numbing can change how well the pigment holds and can also change the texture of the skin.

How long will my Permanent makeup Last?

Permanent Makeup treatments vary from person to person, depending on your personal aftercare it is on average 12-18 months. Aftercare is so important to have long lasting results.

How long will the Micro/Nanoblading treatment take?

The initial treatment takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. This includes prep time discussing your desired end result. the eyebrows will initially be drawn on with a pencil to define the exact final shape. Then we will chose your colour before the eyebrow Micro/Nanoblading treatment begins.

How long do they take to heal?

It takes on average14 days for the brows to heal over, and around 1 month for the colour to fully set in. initially the colour will appear dark then during the healing process the colour will fade anything from 10-50%. You will notice slight scabbing which you can’t pick as this will affect the outcome of the Micro/Nanoblading area. Once the scabs fall off some areas will appear as if there is no pigment there, then over the next 2 weeks the colour will begin to come through, then you will be due your top up so we can tweak any areas that need more colour.

What can’t I do during the healing process?

You must dry heal for 14 days, this means:

  • No gym

  • No sweating

  • No sun exposure

  • No direct shower spray

  • No makeup on the treated area

Is the touch up session necessary?

Yes! A touch up session is necessary as everyone heals differently, and after the first healing session colour will appear uneven and 10-50% lighter. During the touch up session is where we will implant more pigment  add more strokes, Most importantly it is in your touch up session when we will refine your brows to ensure they look perfect and retain for the whole year.

Who can have Micro/Nanoblading?

It is suitable for most people, before going ahead we would have a consultation and go through any pre-existing medical conditions and any medication you may be taking to determine if the treatment is right for you.

It is important to consider that not everyone is a suitable client, some clients don't retain pigment well and this isn't something we can tell until you try the treatment.

How old do you have to be to have Micro/Nanoblading?

You have to be over 18 years of age in order to have the treatment done.

Where are you based?

We are based within The Advanced Skin Lounge

50 Town Street, Farsley, LS28 5LD
